Bet you didn’t know Santa was missing??

Don’t panic!! The Basement theatre has got it covered this holiday season with Mega Christmas!

Santa has gone missing in this inaugural Silly Season Pantomime featuring some of the best and most exciting names in Aotearoa comedy.

The cast includes (takes deep breath); Shane Cortese, Jacinda Adern, Kimberley Crossman, Oliver Driver, Beth Allen, Mia Blake, Michael Hurst, Hannah Banks Siobhan Marshall, Fasitua Amosa, Nic Sampson, Harry McNaughton, Mick Innes, Bromwyn Bradley, Cameron Rhodes, Michele Blundell, Yvette Parsons, Thomas Sainsbury, Dean Campbell, Sam Bunkall plus heaps more join forces in this fundraiser that will most likely have you falling out of your seat with laughter.

Twas the night before the night before Christmas. After a messy North Pole work party, Rudolph wakes up savagely hung-over and discovers Santa is missing.

Along with Elf and Tinsel, Rudolph hatches a plan to steal the magic sleigh.
Following clues around the world to find their employer, all they know is that whoever Santa’s with is wearing dive-boots.

Chased by a bi-polar bear and using Santa’s Facebook check ins and location services to track him down; Elf, Rudolph and Tinsel have one day to bring home Santa and save Christmas.

And wouldn’t you love to see Kim Dot Com to play Santa? If you see him ask him to join in with Mega Christmas!!

The show is written by Auckland’s Nic Sampson and Barnaby Fredrick, who also brought us the NZ International Comedy Festival hit “Bombs Away!” So why not check out this probably not PG-rated ensemble that will stuff your Christmas stocking full of laughs and NZ celebrity talent.

Jump on your sleigh and get down to Basement Theatre with a friend or three, and your family too, and break out the eggnog and join the search for Santa in a panto not to be missed.
