Two Little Boys DVD

The well received Kiwi flick Two Little Boys is now available on DVD for you to rent or own and watch on your very own home cinema.

This slightly unusual ‘buddy movie’ sees Nige (Bret Mc kenzie) accidentally run over Jeurgen, a Norweigen backbacker. Requiring help he goes to his recently ‘broken up with’ friend Deano (Hamish Blake) and the friendship is stretched to sinister proportions.

The DVD comes with interviews, behind the scenes clips and a deleted scene. Disappointingly their isn’t a cast commentary which considering it stars two great comics is a shame.

However the interviews bring some laughs and insights to the making to the film.

In preparation for their characters Hamish Blake says being Deano required ‘switching off any sort of social norm’ while Bret McKenzie ‘listened to a lot of 1990’s music’ to prepare for playing Nige.

As both performers were ‘used to working in duos’ they bounce off each other well as they describe some of the films highlights and Hamish recalls a close encounter with a Sea Lion.

To quote the stars of the film ‘it’s crimey, mulletic and homoerotic’ so if that sounds like your kind of caper check out Two Little Boys on DVD.
