Laugh Yourself Silly!

It’s that time of the year again when you should get ready for lots of laughs from homegrown and international comedians!

That’s right it the New Zealand International Comedy Festival is back for 2013 and is running 26 April – 19 May. Three weeks that also celebrate the coming of age of this comedy beast, celebrating 21 years of making you chuckle!

Audiences are already able to purchase tickets to two of the Festival’s most popular events, the Comedy Gala (Auckland) and First Laughs (Wellington), get in early, these badboys will sell out.

Kicking off the festivities as host for the Comedy Gala and First Laughs is the godfather of NZ comedy, TV Guide’s 2012’s ‘Funniest Person on TV’ and 7 Days quizmaster Jeremy Corbett. 

The Comedy Gala, Friday 26 April, held this year at The Civic, is where Corbett will share the stage for a yardie of good times from a bunch of local and international jokers; The Boy With Tape On His Face (NZ), Tom Gleeson (AUS), Dai Henwood (NZ), Urzila Carlson (SA/NZ),Idiots Of Ants (UK), Ben Hurley (NZ), Chris Martin (UK), Fiona O’Loughlin (AUS),Stephen K Amos (UK), 2012 Billy T Award Winner Guy Williams (NZ) and so much more. This event always sells out. Period.

Corbett, with comics in tow, will then fly south to perform at Wellington’s opening Festival eventFirst Laughs at The Opera House, Sunday 28 April.
