Rhys Darby – Mr. Adventure NZ Tour

New Zealand’s very own comedy superstar Rhys Darby is returning home with a brand new show for 2014. Rhys will take his show Mr. Adventure all over New Zealand in his biggest tour yet!

From the misty mountains of Rwanda to the eerie shores of Loch Ness, Rhys has attempted to see it all. Now he’s back and has a few stories to tell. You can expect tales of awe from the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, wild wonderment as he describes the gorillas in Rwanda, and hilarious live reenactments of his discoveries in gun-toting Texas!

As we approached the end of the Mayan calendar in the year 2012, and thus the end of the World, Rhys looked back at how he got where he was through various anecdotal comedy routines in This Way To Spaceship, which accompanied his autobiographical book of the same name.  Clearly the world did not end (phew), so this time Rhys climbs mountains and explores the earth in an effort to show that life can still be a massive adventure which is bordering on the unbelievable.

Although Darby is based in Los Angeles where he has been appearing on US TV shows like How I met your Mother and The Late Show with David Letterman, NZ can have their guy back for a few months, and more than a few laughs. So if you want to see Darby spin some yarns, along with his classic onstage physicality, then you can get your tickets from 9 December.
